Additional information Not available (nomen nudum) from Agassiz, 1838, Verhandlungen der Schweizerischer Naturforschenden Gesellschaft, 23: 194 [as Kercomya]. The spellings Kercomya and Cercomya (both nomina nuda) were both used by Gressly, 1838, Nouveaux Mémoires de la Société Helvétique des Sciences Naturelles, 2: 137, 144, 156. Herrmannsen, 1846, Indicis generum malacozoorum primordia, 1: 208, has cited Sanguinolaria undulata Sowerby as type species; and Stoliczka, 1871, Cretaceous fauna of southern India, 3: xvi, has cited Cercomya pinguis Agassiz.
