Diagnosis Shell medium to large, cylindrically ovate or globose. Protoconch large, plug-like, callused and surrounded by a sharp ridge which is the posterior shoulder of the body whorl. Periostracum entirely or partially covered by a glaze. Radula uniserial with tricuspid teeth, the central cusp being the shortest. Ovoviviparous. [details]
