Type species The original type designation by Stoliczka (1870) could be questioned because the species is cited as Tellina trangularis Chemnitz, which is not an available name as required by ICZN art. 67.2.1. However it can be accepted with the provision of art. 67.7 and understood as being Tellina triangularis Röding, 1798. [details]
