Identification Kobelt (1897:49) mentions similarities with specimens from western Africa which he obtained from Maltzan, and figures two specimens (figs 3-4 and 5-6) of what appears to be Turritella conspersa Adams & Reeve in Reeve, 1849 which according to Kobelt are preserved in SMF, Frankfurt.
