From editor or global species database
Nomenclature This species was published as Turbo tridens (Pulteney, 1799) (p. 51), but with clear reference to Helix tridens O. F. Müller, 1774 (= Chondrula tridens (O. F. Müller, 1774)). Here, Pulteney moved the species Turbo, so he did not introduce a new name.
Fleming (1828) erroneously selected this taxon for his monotypic genus Azeca believing, Pulteney's taxon would be what we know as A. goodalli, so this is a misidentified type species. For this reason, the Pulteney name is suppressed (see Opinion 335), and the next synonym takes it places. This is Helix (Cochlodonta)
goodalli Ferussac, 1821. [details]
