Live animal of Lyncina leucodon by John Earle
Description John Earle and Richard Pyle found this live specimen of Lyncina leucodon in about 95 m off Palau, while diving using rebreathers looking for fishes in the "Twilight Zone" (below scuba depths). To my knowledge this is the first photo of a live L. leucodon.The photo is here reproduced by permisson from John Earle. Anyone wishing to use this image should seek permission from the photographer. The email provided below is mine, not the photographer's (sorry, I don't have his contact infomation; he used to live in Honlulu, Hawaii).
