Taxonomy At the moment, the name Cerithiopsis tubercularis (Montagu, 1803) is still in use. According to Van Aartsen et al. (1984) the name Certhiopsis tubercularis refers to Certhiopsis barleei Jeffreys, 1867. The validity of C. tubercularis should be examined in more detail. [details]
