Taxonomic remark Note Papp (1953) gave M. bouei spinosa Handmann, 1882 and M. bouei ventricosa Handmann, 1882 in synonymy of M. rarispina; ventricosa is a homonym of M. ventricosa Neumayr, 1880, but spinosa is available, making rarispina a junior synonym. Junior homonym of M. sinzowi Brusina, 1885; Wenz (1919) introduced M. tinnyensis as replacement name.  [details]
