Synonymy Wenz (1923) listed the record of H. cinctites in Raulin (1856) in the synonymy list of Plebecula ramondi, but he did not mention Serres (1844). Raulin (1856) clearly referred to Serres. However, ramondi is typical of the Chattian (late Oligocene), while cinctites was introduced from late Eocene strata at Castelnaudary. Therefore, the synonymy is doubtful and requires checking. [details]
