From editor or global species database
Synonymy Neumayr (1872) had introduced V. fuchsi as replacement name for Vivipara concinna sensu Hörnes, 1856 non Sowerby, 1812 from the late Miocene of Moosbrunn, Austria. Despite being aware of Neumayr's paper, Sandberger (1875) introduced Paludina loxostoma for the very same misidentified species. As most later authors too, Sandberger (1875) obviously misunderstood Neumayr's paper and considered V. fuchsi to be restricted to the Pliocene Viviparus beds of Croatia (because Neumayr's paper actually dealt with that matter).
