Homonymy Baba (1937) classified both Hervia modesta Bergh, 1871 and Rizzolia modesta as Cuthona (Hervia) and replaced the later name with Cuthona (Hervia) japonica because of the secondary homonymy. Although secondary homonymy no longer exists, the replaced name is permanently invalid because the replacement name is in use. [details]
