From editor or global species database
Synonymy Status uncertain: Kozai (1987) considered the material attributed to this species by Ota (1964) and Hayami (1975) to represent a different species, which he described as Caestocorbula ohtai. Late, Kozai (1989) listed Aloides (Caryocorbula) higoensis Matumoto, 1938 in synonymy of the younger Nipponicorbula mifunensis Ota, 1964 without any explanation. Revision required! [details]
