Taxonomic remark Neumayr (1876) listed the two new species V. foetterlei and V. rumana, characterizing both as being extraordinary large and having a thick shell. However, from this description it is impossible to distinguish between the two species. V. foetterlei is not used as valid in any later paper. [details]
