Who are we?
MolluscaBase is a taxonomically oriented database that aims to provide an authoritative, permanently updated account of all molluscan species – marine, freshwater, and terrestrial, extant and fossil, and across all classes. MolluscaBase follows the standards of the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) and provides information on a taxon's status, its classification, and, as available, type locality, distribution, stratigraphic range, images, traits, and relevant literature sources. All data are strictly based on the most recent literature without editorial opinions.
