Taxonomy There is some discrepancies concerning the generic placement of this species. Some authors (Schütt, Şeşen, 1989) classify it as a member of Theodoxus (Neritaea), whereas others (Glöer, Pešić, 2013) place this species into Neritina. The IUCN Red List (http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/20593087/0) still accepts N. euphraticus as a species of Theodoxus. [details]
