Nomenclature Köhler & Glaubrecht (2006) transferred this Thai species to Brotia maintaining a species epithet erroneously employed by Solem (1966) and Brandt (1974). However, the original description of Semisulcospira paludiformis Yen, 1939 was for a species from Hainan, which is distinct from the Thai species. Therefore, the nAME paludiformis cannot be applied to the present taxon. No replacement name has yet been introduced. [details]
