Homonymy Junior homonym of Helix brocchi [sic] Calcara, 1842 (the different spellings are deemed to be identical after ICZN Art. 58.14). Sacco (1897) introduced Helix exbrocchii as replacement name. Schlickum & Strauch (1973) considered the species synonymous with Mesodontopsis chaixii. See also Kadolsky et al. (2016) for discussion. [details]
