Status Introduced as replacement name for "Auricula biplicata Grateloup, 1847, non Deshayes, 1830". However, Grateloup introduced the taxon already in 1828 (and it is not a nomen nudum there as claimed by Wenz 1923). Therefore, it is not a junior homonym but a senior homonym of Auricula biplicata Deshayes, 1830 (latter of which is permanently invalid). [details]

However, Grateloup introduced the taxon already in 1828 (and it is not a nomen nudum there as claimed by Wenz 1923).
