Synonymy Bouchet & Warén (1993: 810) selected a lectotype of Natica globosa Jeffreys, 1885, from Bay of Biscay, and recognized this as a juvenile in protoconch stage of the genus Semicassis (= Phalium). It should therefore be placed in synonymy of Phalium saburon (Bruguière, 1792), the only species of Cassidae present in Bay of Biscay. [details]
