Placed by the authors in "Palaeorissoina", noting (2009: p. 512): " The only closely related genus is the Jurassic Palaeorissoina from the Middle–Upper Jurassic deposits of Europe (Gründel, 1999). The latest representatives of this genus comes from the Lower Kimmeridgian. The essential difference between “P.” sokolovensis and the Jurassic Palaeorissoina is a well defined sinus in the parietal region of the aperture that is absent in Palaeorissoina. Thus, the placement of the Cretaceous species to this genus is merely conventional."
