From editor or global species database
Validity Not available (type species then a nomen nudum) from Guo (1985, Fossil bivalves of China: 178). Fang et al. (2009, The University of Kansas Paleontological Publications, new ser., 17: 66) argued that the description by Guo (1985) of three new species included by him in Eocuneopsis made the genus available, with Cuneopsis yunnanensis Guo, 1985 designated by them as the type species. This is not a valid establishment of a new genus under Art. 13.3 of the Code. [details]
