Taxonomy The type material of Prosimnia verconis consists of two separate species. The paratype was made by Cate (1973) the holotype of Primovula heleneae, a species treated as valid by subsequent authors (Gowlett-Holmes & Holmes 1989). Prosimnia verconis, as typified by its holotype, is a species of Crenavolva, but has not been positively recognized by modern authors in the fauna of South Australia. Use of the name verconis in the Australian litterature refers mostly to Primovula heleneae but also to a species of Aclyvolva. [details]
