Type species Although Pfeffer originally included in Pachydupotetia three nominal species (Helix jobaeana Crosse, 1861, H. dumortieriana Crosse, 1862, and H. subsenilis Crosse, 1862), he also stated that all three were conspecific, Helix jobaeana being the valid name; the genus is thus monotypic.
