Status Sato (1991) listed Kotorapecten egregius (Itoigawa, 1955) as valid species on p. 103, but as a synonym of the younger (!) name Kotorapecten moniwaensis (Masuda, 1958) on pp. 106, 109, perhaps because he incorrectly considered Yokoyama (1929) to be the author of that species.
