Nomenclature Introduced as replacement name for "Bogatshevia [sic] Ali-Zade et Kabakova, 1969 non Jatzko, 1962". However, the unionid genus Bogatschevia was not validly introduced by Jatsko (1962), who did not designate a type species. It is only available from Jatsko (1972), which makes the name a junior homonym of Bogatschevia Ali-Zade & Kabakova [in Ali-Zade], 1969. Consequently, Ashrafiella is a junior objective synonym of Bogatschevia Ali-Zade & Kabakova, 1969. [details]
