However, the name Anomia simplex d'Orbigny, 1853 has been in prevailing usage, with over 25 usages in the last 50 years. By contrast, the name Anomia acontes J.E. Gray, 1850 had not been used as valid since 1899 until Huber (2010: 616) reinstated it, thereby violating Art. 23.9 of the ICZN Code. Under Art. 23.10 the case should be refered to the Commission and prevailing usage [in this case Anomia simplex as the valid name] must be maintained. [details]
