Status As pointed out by Schultz (2005), the species name was only used until 1897 (with the exception of a mention in a type catalogue by Stojaspal 1975). In turn, the senior synonym was (Congeria plana Lörenthey, 1902) is a frequently used name. As such, this case fulfills the requirements for ICZN Art. 23.9 (reversal of precedence). Although Schultz (2005) used a different term not recognized by the ICZN ("nomen non conservandum"), he is deemed to have declared quadrans a nomen oblitum following Art. 23.9.2. [details]
