Status Zotin (2018) established this combination, which was however synonymized with Margaritifera (Mengyinaia) manasensis (J.-M. Wei, 1984) by Ma (1996), which Zotin apparently did not notice. Zotin (2018) did not record that species. Following the synonymization of Ma (1996) and the updated systematics of Zotin (2018), the species should be called Palaeomargaritifera manasensis (J.-M. Wei, 1984). [details]
