Editor's comment Parreyssia Prashad, 1936 [Proceedings of the Malacological Society of London, 22(3): 120; or earlier] is an unjustified emendation. The spelling Parreyssia had been used earlier than Prashad (1936), e.g. Dautzenberg [1908, Journal de Conchyliologie, 56(1): 26], but there it qualifies as an incorrect subsequent spelling. Even Prashad did not use Parreysia as his accepted spelling. The spelling Parreysia is in prevailing usage. [details]
