Vermeulen & Whitten (1998) list "Durgella pusilla Martens, 1867" as an accepted species and senior synonym of Durgella dwipana. No description of the supposed original name "Helix pusilla Martens, 1867"can be found, however. Martens (1867: 254) referred to "Nanina pusilla Mousson" (nomen nudum) in the synonymy of Helix jenynsi Pfr. In any case, Helix pusilla would be a junior homonym of several other taxa Therefore, Durgella dwipana is treated as the accepted taxon.
