Etymology “Yeehaw”, Seminole-Choctaw for “wolf”, in reference to the characteristic wolflike wide mouth and large apertural teeth of the new subgenus. The new subgenus is also named for Yeehaw Junction, Osceola County, Florida, which is near Fort Drum, the only known locality where Yeehawcypraea species have been collected on a regular basis.
