Description Shells as the family H. harp, up to 8 cm, with twelve axial ribs. Colour creamy brown, crossed with thin, dark brown bands. Columella cream with dark brown blotches; aperture white with brown markings on lip. Habitat: shallow and deep sand. Distribution: W Indian Ocean to C Pacific Ocean. Regional names: Port.
