Note De Boury fixed Scalaria dubia G.B. Sowerby II,...
Type species De Boury fixed Scalaria dubia G.B. Sowerby II, 1844, as the type species. Brown & Neville [2015, Zootaxa, 3907(1): 24] considered that de Boury had misidentified the type species, and that he had instead established a new nominal species, "Scala dubia de Boury, 1912", and they cited Art. 70.3 to fix the latter as the type species of Foliaceiscala. It appears to be correct that de Boury had misidentified the type species (as also recognized by Kilburn 1985), but it is certainly not correct that he had established a new nominal species and Brown & Neville's fixation of the type species under Art. 70.3 is invalid.
