Taxonomy Matsukuma (2006) noted that the syntypes of Exotica exotica contained several species, of which only a few could be assigned to Tellina triradiata H. Adams, 1871, held as a senior synonym by several authors. Therefore he points out Exotica exotica as a potentially valid species but did not designate a lectotype accordingly. [details]
