Type locality Sukhova (1955) stated that the material comes from the Azovian layers (lower Kimmerian, uppermost Miocene to lowermost Pliocene), but she did not indicate a locality. Perhaps it derives from the Taman Peninsula (Krasnodar, Russia) or opposite Kerch Peninsula (Crimea), where these layers are exposed. [details]
