Nomenclature This seems to be the earliest explicit unjustified emendation of Akera Müller, 1776. Acera Lamarck, 1822, based on Bulla carnosa Cuvier 1810, is different and belongs to family Aglajidae. Lovén (1847) used this spelling earlier but did not refer to the original spelling and cannot be considered as having made an intentional emendation. [details]
