Synonymy Harzhauser et al. (2014) considered Helix osculum var. tenuis Klika, 1891 a synonym of "Klikia labiata (Klika, 1891)" and gave priority to the latter name. That name is however not available from Klika (1891), who introduced the taxon as "[Helix osculum Thomae] Mut. labiata n.". Mutations are not governed by the Code (see also Art. 45.6). Moreover, the name is not deemed to be subspecific because Klika clearly differentiated between "varieties" and "mutations". The first to validly introduce it as species-group was Wenz (1911). Thus, tenuis Klika, 1891 takes precedence over labiata Wenz, 1911. [details]
