Taxonomic remark Schileyko (2000, Treatise 6: 760) considers Drepanostomella a genus on its own, and so does Thompson (2011, Central America: 202) – both following H.B. Baker 1925 and Pilsbry 1930. On the other hand, Zilch (1960: 545) considered Drepanostomella a subgenus of Happia. Simone (2006) probably followed Zilch, but it should be stressed that he did not use subgenera in his book.
