Note Nom. nov. pro Dactylius Sandberger, 1872, non...
Type species Nom. nov. pro Dactylius Sandberger, 1872, non Curling, 1839 [Vermes]. When he established the name Dactylius, Sandberger included in it "Amphidromus (Dactylius) subcylindricus" [Bulimus subcylindricus Mathéron, 1843], which he compared to Bulimus laevolongus Boubée, 1831. The latter was expressly included in Dactylius on p. 287, published in 1873. It could be argued that, in 1872, B. subcylindricus was the type species of Dactylius by monotypy; or that both subcylindicus and laevolongus were originally included species. When introducing the replacement name Dactylomorpha, Gude cited Dactylius as having been published on p. 287 and stated that Bulimus laevolongus was the type species. When B. laevolongus is accepted as the type species of Dactylomorpha, then the latter is a junior objective synonym of Filholia[details]
