Synonymy David Tarrant (via email to Philippe Bouchet, July 11, 2016): "Evenaria persticta (Iredale, 1939) has long been considered to be a synonym of Cypraea (Notadusta) punctata. An examination of the E. persticta holotype (Australian Museum) has led me to conclude that E. persticta is actually a synonym of Cypraea hammondae [= Cupinota hammondae Iredale, 1939, original name]."
