Status "Nom. emend." based on Cardium beaumontianum in d'Orbigny (1844). However, the name is not available from d'Orbigny (1844), who explicitly stated on p. 472 that the name Beaumontianum is a mistake. He actually referred the specimens to Cardium protractum Eichwald. Eichwald (1853) considered d'Orbigny's specimens different from C. protractum and united them with his Cardium obsoletum Eichwald, 1830. [details]

Status "Nom. emend." based on Cardium beaumontianum in d'Orbigny (1844). However, the name is not available from d'Orbigny (1844), who explicitly stated on p. 472 that the name Beaumontianum is a mistake. He actually referred the specimens to Cardium protractum Eichwald.
